Gunther is a lovable 7 year old, male Weimaraner. He has been part of our family since he was 9 weeks old. He is terrific with our kids. They have poked and pulled everything imaginable on him and he just lays back and takes it all. He doesn’t like to miss any action and always wants to be near the family. He thinks he’s a lap dog, but at 89 lbs he’s a little too big. If you pet him, he’ll love you forever. The problem is that he is very protective of our children and he nips at any male stranger that approaches the yard. This more often than not results in a ripped hem of a shirt, but a couple of times he has gotten a hand. Neither incident required stitches or medical treatment. Gunther is up to date on all of his shots. Unfortunately, we do not have the time needed to invest in training Gunther consistently. My husband and I work opposite schedules and have 3 children that take up the majority of our time.
